On Saturday, September 26th, 2026, Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) crews will be performing a closure which will temporarily disrupt your water services to facilitate hydrant repairs.
WHEN: Saturday September 26th, 2026, from 8:00AM – 6:00PM
WHERE:
- St. Andrew St. from St. Charles Ave. to Camp St.
- St. Charles Ave. from Jefferson Ave. to Nashville Ave.
-Chestnut St. from Napoleon Ave. to Bordeaux St.
When water is restored, run your faucets for 5 minutes to flush out the lines before resuming regular use.
If water is not restored within one hour after end time, please contact us at the email/phone number below.
Gauges will be placed and monitored by a SWBNO crew during the water valve closure. The procedure will be aborted, and the closure opened immediately if there are any unacceptable pressure losses during the closure or if any pressure gauge readings fall to 30psi.
