On Wednesday, October 28th, Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) contactor, Boh Bros, will be temporarily closing two lanes of traffic on S Claiborne Ave (eastbound) from Tulane Ave to Cleveland Ave to facilitate water main repairs.
For all traffic interruptions, signage and traffic control measures such as barrels and fencing are onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians.
LOCATION: Crews are disconnecting an abandoned water service from the 30-inch water main on S Claiborne Ave at Cleveland Ave.
WORK SCHEDULE: The closure is expected to take 2 days, restoration included. The middle lane will be opened at 3:00PM at each day. The roadway is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day Friday, October 30th.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: S Claiborne Ave (eastbound) will have a double lane closure on the right outer and middle lane of eastbound traffic from Tulane Ave to Cleveland Ave. The middle lane will be opened at 3:00PM at each day.
