New Orleans, LA - Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans will hold a media briefing to update the public on preparations ahead of a tropical system developing in the Gulf. SWBNO executive leadership will discuss drainage system readiness, pump and power status, and storm prep efforts underway across the city.

WHY: As the tropical system develops, SWBNO is enhancing staffing levels, lowering canal levels to increase stormwater storage capacity, and cleaning catch basins throughout the system. This briefing will provide media and the public with an operational update, including current pump and power availability, and guidance for residents ahead of the storm.
