Update: Pressures briefly dropped below 20 pounds per square inch (psi) resulting in an expansion of the impacted area. The affected area has been expanded to include an area bounded by S. Claiborne Ave, the river, Canal Street, and the Pontchartrain Expressway. Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans in consultation with the Louisiana Department of Health has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for limited portion of Uptown which includes:
•Carrollton Ave from I-10 (Pontchartrain Expressway) to Mississippi River
•I-10 (Pontchartrain Expressway) from Carrollton Ave to Mississippi River
•Mississippi River from Carrollton Ave to Pontchartrain Expressway

Tomorrow, The Sewerage & Water Board will be testing four electro-mechanical devices (EMD) that, once online, will provide much-needed backup power to New Orleans' water, sewer and drainage systems. See attached for more info.
