The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO), in consultation with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) has issued a precautionary Boil Water Advisory (BWA) for the Venetian Isles neighborhood.

-All of Venetian Isles

Water pressures in this area fell below 20 pounds per square inch (psi) for a brief period of time. Water pressure in this area and other areas east of I-510 have been lower than normal since Wednesday. Crews have been and are continuing to search the area for major water leaks, but have not yet identified a specific location or cause. The area may experience continued pressure fluctuations until the root cause is identified and repairs are completed. SWBNO will notify residents when testing has begun.

Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO), in consultation with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), is testing water quality samples, which may take up to 24 hours to achieve results. Until clear test results are back, a precautionary boil water advisory (BWA) remains in effect for the Westbank of New Orleans.

-Entire Westbank New Orleans

Water pressures in this area fell below 20 pounds per square inch (psi) due to contractor damage on a water main near General DeGaulle and Indiana St. The water main was damaged by a contractor working in the area who is working for a different agency. SWBNO crews responded immediately to isolate the break. Water pressures has been restored to all residents and businesses.
