SWBNO’s Lead Line Replacement Program is working to replace lead service lines on both public and private property to follow new federal regulations. Since replacing all lead lines in the city will take time, we are offering water filter pitchers to customers who are at risk of lead exposure through their water service lines.
Starting in mid-January 2025, we will begin pitcher distribution again, thanks to federal and state funding. Please note that this funding comes with new rules on how we can distribute pitchers.
Now, pitchers must be prioritized for customers with lead, galvanized, or unknown service lines (according to our service line material inventory). To comply, SWBNO will review your request to confirm eligibility before a providing a pitcher. If you are eligible, we will contact you directly with a time window in which to pick up your pitcher. This means customers cannot pick up a pitcher the same day they make a request.
Thank you for your patience as we work to help those most at risk.
