New Orleans, LA -- The Sewerage and Water Board has canceled the voluntary water conservation notice. The pumping capacity has been restored at the Claiborne Ave pumping station.
Customers should continue dripping their faucets when temperatures drop below 32 degrees to prevent water freezing in their pipes. Run the faucet farthest from your meter at no more than a trickle of water, about as thin as a standard strand of spaghetti.
Updates will be provided through the SWBNO website, and in coordination with the City of New Orleans, the New Orleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, and NolaReady. For the latest information, customers are encouraged to stay tuned to official communications from these sources.
