Kind of Work
Responsible work of a specialized nature securing compliance with plumbing regulation through technical inspection; and related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
High School graduation or or G.E.D. issued by a state department of education.*
Possession of a current Louisiana State Journeyman Plumber's license.* (The State Board requires at least five years or 8,000 hours of work experience installing, repairing, or maintaining plumbing systems to qualify for the journeyman licensing exam).
* Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify education and license claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification. If selected for hire, applicants must provide original documents of their qualifying credentials to the hiring agency prior to their start date in this job classification.

A qualifying review of license.
This is a non-competitive entrance examination in accordance with Rule V, Section 8.1 (b) of the City Civil Service Rules.
