The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) has changed its call center’s non-emergency hours to better staff high-volume call times. As of September 6, the call center’s non-emergency hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The emergency line remains staffed and available 24/7.
“This change illustrates our commitment to improving customer service with the resources we have available,” said Chief Customer Service Officer Rene Gonzalez. “Only three percent of our calls come before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m. We understand the importance of being responsive to our customers, and the new hours will help us answer when people want to reach us.”
