DESCRIPTION:Starting today\, Friday\, September 18th\, 2026\, Sewerage and 
 Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) contractor\, Boh Bros\, will be tempora
 rily closing two lanes of Poydras St (lake bound) from Freret St to Clara 
 St to facilitate emergency repairs to a collapsed vault lid. \n\n  For all
  traffic interruptions\, signage and traffic control measures such as barr
 els and fencing are onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians.  \n\n  LOCAT
 ION:  The 1600 block of Poydras St (lake bound) from Freret St to Clara St
  will have a double-lane closure (middle and right lanes) to facilitate re
 pairs. \n\n  WORK SCHEDULE:  We anticipate repairs to be completed by Satu
 rday 9/26\, weather permitting. Crews will be working throughout the weeke
 nd to accommodate this schedule.  \n\n  TRAFFIC IMPACT:  Traffic on Poydra
 s St (lake bound) will be shifted into one lane to accommodate active cons
 truction until Sunday 9/20\; the right and middle lane will be closed. On 
 Sunday\, crews plan to reopen the middle lane\, shrinking the lane closure
  into a single right-lane closure. All lanes are expected to be reopened t
 o traffic on Saturday\, 9/26. If we encounter any obstacles that prevent u
 s from completing this repair as currently scheduled\, we will install a s
 teel plate over the opening and return after the back-to-back Saints home
