Monday, May 18 2009, 2:25 PM - Corps of Engineers, S&WB Break Ground for $58.8 Million Dwyer Drainage Canal Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans will break ground Monday at 10 a.m. for construction of a 58.8 million concrete box culvert canal beneath the median of Dwyer Road to improve drainage in eastern New Orleans.

Residents and businesses in two small sections of the Upper and Lower 9th Ward will experience very low water pressure on Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. while Sewerage and Water Board makes repairs to a series of valves and also a 16" water main.
