Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans to Host Job Fair on May 19

Over a Dozen Agencies and Businesses Participating, Some Hiring On-Site

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA — The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) is partnering with multiple agencies across the city to host a job fair on May 19, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the New Orleans Convention Center in Great Halls B and C.

SWBNO has open positions in departments throughout the utility. Recruiters and utility representatives are prepared to hire new meter readers, customer service team members, plumbing inspectors, internal auditors, and more. Available positions span all professional backgrounds and experience levels.

“Our workforce is our most important asset and essential to helping New Orleans thrive,” said Ghassan Korban, SWBNO Executive Director. “Our employees wear a lot of different hats to serve our city well, and we operate best when we’re appropriately staffed. We are hiring for a wide variety of positions with the opportunity to grow and build a career with the Sewerage and Water Board.”

Some agencies, including SWBNO, will hire on-site. For immediate hiring, applicants must have a valid driver’s license, state ID, or school ID; their original social security card or birth certificate; and a copy of all documents that apply to their education.
